MorningLOCATION: Home , Kenosha, WI, USAYEAR: 2003TAGS: delusions, rebellion, evanescence, imaginary, world, escapePUBLISHED: February 17, 2008When I was a Freshman in high school, I created an alternate universe for myself to live in where nothing bad ever happened, unless you lieft the universe. This place was called Morning, where it was sunrise and sunset all the time, and it rained once a day for five minutes to keep the flowers fresh. I drew a map of this world, and I made a flag for it, and I had my own house there, too. I lived my life as if I were living there, and my life was fantastic. No worries. This song, which was my favorite song at the time, perfectly describes what I was thinking back then. What's the harm in escaping reality once in a while? "Don't say I'm out of touch with this rampant chaos, your reality. I know well what lies beyond my sleeping refuge. A nightmare I built my own world to escape." Sometimes I think it would be nice to return there, but then I remind myself that sometimes you need pain to feel pleasure, and I am content with my life as is.Â
