Girlish ObsessionLOCATION: Schoolbus, Twin Lakes, WI, USATAGS: crush, school, bus, boys, freshman, high schoolPUBLISHED: February 11, 2008While I was in school, anywhere from the fifth grade until the 11th grade, It's fair to say that I was much more focused on the cute guys in my classes than what the teacher was saying, and there was no exception my freshman year of high school, especially since every guy in the school was fair game suddenly, unlike grade school where going even one year younger with a crush was frowned upon. Every year I was in school I focused on one boy, sort of like shifting idols. What can I say? I was an obsessive girl! Freshman year I had the biggest crush on this guy that was in my 8th period Civics class, and who also rode the same bus home. Every day, I looked forward to that bus ride, and I'd make sure to sit almost near the back of the bus to make sure he'd sit in front of me and I could stare at will without looking like a stalker (silly girls). On that bus, the bus driver (a very old, but very nice man who always said "hi" when you came on to the bus) always played a certain radio station, 99.1 wmyx, and two out of three days you rode the bus, this song would come on. So every time I hear this song, or almost any U2 song, I think of the most beautiful guy in the world, with the baggy black jeans and the spikey hair who rode the schoolbus with me.
