In Her Mouth, a PavementLOCATION: headphones , Harrison, ARYEAR: 2006TAGS: gold soundz, s&e, fallPUBLISHED: February 17, 2008The first buzz-pop speed choon I ever heard from these guys. And it was the only song I liked on the record, for the longest fucking time! Â Now, S&E is easily one of my favorite records, since it's charms reveal itself after spending time, wearing it in like a pair of Converse. Stephen Malkmus has always had a way with melody, and this song is ample proof. The song doesn't lurch, or stomp, out of the gate, it just kind of.. stays there. Like a slacker. Another reason why Pavement's influence was farther-reaching than most critics might think, but critics are damn fools anyway. Go listen to Arcade Fire.
