Basic TrainingLOCATION: Air Force basic training dorms , Lackland AFB, TXYEAR: 1997TAGS: DMB, Crash, USAF, 1997, basic training, #41PUBLISHED: August 26, 2008I was only able to take a few things with me to basic. The one thing I HAD to have was my CD player. The one CD I couldn't live without at the time was Crash. But of course, I couldn't use my CD player during training, so I had to wait 6 weeks to hear my precious DMB. The last day of basic, they opened up the closet of our "civilian belongings" and I went for the headphones, turned it on and went straight to my very favorite song "#41". That sound never sounded so good. I turned my headphones up as loud as they could go and the people around me were screaming at me trying to get my attention to no avail. I didn't acknowledge anyone until my song was over.
