Talking Heads/B52's- my birthdayLOCATION: Coconut Grove Ballroom , Santa Cruz, CAYEAR: 1979TAGS: Talking Heads, Santa CruzPUBLISHED: August 5, 2008I had only been in SC County a couple of years from Orange County, and felt very alienated. I found the Talking Heads and B52's were playing on September 30 (my birthday). ON THE BEACH IN A BALLROOM no less! A monumental show. While others were usually excited about going to mega shows like "Day on the Green" to see Journey and other "Valley" type rock...this is the stuff that I could associate with. It made my year! Here they are, same era at the Old Grey Whistle Test....check out Tina, so intense! not to mention she and Chris being one of the best music couples ever.

wow....is it the generic one or does it say Coconut Grove on it?
They also played Davis and some other stops that tour. I would love to get my hands on one o those. (5/14/2009)

No it says Cocoanut Grove, Santa Cruz on it.
