She would always send someone to accompany me wherever I go. She wouldn’t allow me to stay at my friend’s during the night. I do appreciate her love for me but sometimes I feel like she’s overdoing it. It makes me feel like I don’t have any freedom. There was one time when a friend of mine invited me to her birthday party. It was an overnight party at the beach. I tried to seek for her permission hoping this time she will allow me. As expected, she didn’t allow me because it is dangerous. I was truly disappointed. On the day of the party, I stayed in my room and cried. I’ve already had my dinner at 9 pm and drink a glass of red wine afterwards with my uncle. After drinking, I went straight to my bed and cried. I understand that my grandmother only wants to prevent us from any harm. In fact, I am very lucky to have her as my grandmother because other grandmothers are not like that. .
