My High School ExperienceLOCATION: School , Davao CityYEAR: 1999TAGS: High School, Experience, The Corrs, ClassroomPUBLISHED: May 23, 2008This is my personal experience that completely changed my attitude toward men. During my elementary years some boys in our school were making fun of me because of my physical appearance. It was only a minor thing because they didn’t do anything to hurt me. Things weren’t the same when I entered high school. When I was in 1st year high school a guy named Edwin Pelaez used to make fun of me in our school. A couple of days some guys were already making fun of me. At first I didn’t mind them because I believed that they will eventually stop but I was wrong. Instead it got even worse. Some of them were already throwing papers on me. Others would even try to hurt me. They went very far by involving my younger sister and my friend so I decided to tell my grandmother about the situation. My grandmother and my uncle confronted my adviser about it. They did stop for a while, at least one week. Eventually they got back to their business of ruining my life. I wasn’t able to completely stop them. The best thing that I did was to avoid them. This was the most traumatic experience that completely ruined my life. Whenever I can see a man or a group of men I often run in order to avoid them. It’s hard to forget what they did to me. I might be able to forgive the others but I couldn’t forgive Edwin. He was the root of all these things. The others were just following him.
