My First Love

Let’s face it. Everyone has their own first love. Some happened during their childhood years while some in their high school years. However, a person’s first love isn’t always his or her true love. But, like they always say, “First love never dies”. The logical reason could be because he or she is the first person you have fallen in love with. Right? Others may think that this is a bit corny or nonsense but others who had experienced it will find it as special, especially when combined with a song So, without further ado, I will share to you my own first love experience.

When I was still in 1st year high school, I met someone named Bryan (not his real name). He was my classmate was my first love. I find him as a nice and friendly guy. It started when he bought his Bangles’ tape. I usually bring my walkman at that time because I love to listen to the music. I don’t exactly remember how I had his tape. The only thing I can remember was that we both loved the song “Eternal Flame”. From that time, he usually hangs around with me. I could even remember when I was going to our classroom after lunch, we met at the stairway and we both went to our room. As we were walking, some guy saw us together and it made me feel uncomfortable. After a few months, we had our T.H.E. project wherein we are to make a flower out of a ribbon and gave it to someone special after the teacher checked the project. As I was clearing my table, he gave me the flower shyly and all of the students were staring. Luckily, I didn’t know how to blush but my heart did beat fast. When I was about to go home, we met at the stairway and we just smiled to each other. I placed the flower beside me that night. During our vacation, I realized how much I missed him and that I’ve fallen for him. I haven’t seen him in our school when I was in 2nd year so I assumed that he transferred to other school.

I ’ve been waiting for a day when I can see him again. Six years had passed before I did see him. I found his profile on Friendster for I assume that he had a profile in that site. I was very happy when I saw him but I had doubted if he can still remember me. Although I still felt a little for him but many years had passed and many things had changed. I myself had changed a lot. Still, I couldn’t deny that he played a big part into my life for he was my first love and that won’t never change.
