We may find a temporary relief in lying but eventually, the truth will always come out. In fact, the truth will always set you free. This was a very important lesson I’ve learned.
During my high school years, I often lie to my family especially to my parents and my grandmother. I did it because I was afraid that they would scold me or anything. The first time I saw the video of this song in MTV, I felt like the song struck me. It was like a slap on my face. I guess I can see it from the title itself. The more I listened to the song, the more I realized that lying has no good effect. Instead, it can only make things worse.
Today, I tried my best not to lie and when I do, this song will often remind me.
