In today's world, many memories are made with cars in several different ways being that of good or bad. One of my fondest memories started in my sister's car in the year 1997. We was just riding down the road after school like always, listening to the radio and just being, well...chill. I was a young boy at the age of 11 with heroes like Super Man and visions of being a pro football player for life.

As the ride home continued as normal, a sound and harmony unlike I have ever heard, played through the speakers of the car. This sound was a voice that later in life, would become my new hero and inspiration. The song was No, No, No, and I was instantly in love. I quickly asked who this is. My sister was of course older, and knew more about the "New" music scene than myself. She replied "Destiny's Child"!

Through this first sound, I quickly started to research this group named Destiny's Child. It wasn't long until I figured out the leading lady in the group, Beyoncè. Through her powerful voice and good looks, I fell in love with this goddess.

Being a guy, people really had a hard time understanding why I was so in love with Beyoncè. Other than her looks, my friends couldn't grasp why I was buying Destiny's Child albums over the albums of 2-pac and Snoop Dog. What people didn't see was my passion for strong music and real talent.

Over the next six years, I would see tremendous growth in the group, but Beyoncè seemed to be making a bigger impact on myself than any of the other members. Don't get this twisted, all the members have great talent and I love them all, but Beyoncè always stood out to me.

The year was 2003 and little did I know that year would create something so big, that I could never get enough of it. Beyoncè became a solo artist! Her new solo album "Dangerously in Love" gave me a whole new perspective of Beyoncè. Powerful rhythms, strong beats, and that personal touch, made me feel that Beyoncè had created an album that would take her to the next level.

I guess the world viewed the album as the same. Beyoncè has rocked the charts ever since. This girl is amazing not only in the studio, but on the stage as well. Not many artists can WOW me with their live performances, but Beyoncè can not only give the WOW factor, she smashes it and takes names while doing so. Her fierce attitude on stage is something rare and unique. I usually find the live performances of her music even better than the recorded track itself.

In the summer month of July, 2007, I had the opportunity of finally seeing my #1 woman on stage in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was so stoked for that night that I could not even sleep the night before. I was like a kid on Christmas Eve. Finally, the time arrived for the event that I had been waiting to see for over 11 years! Beyoncè proved to me that night during "The Beyoncè Experience", everything that I had always admired her for. She is a true performer that takes all the risk and ends up being the winner.

I have been called obsessed, to "Crazy in Love", and just crazy because of my Beyoncè addiction. I see it like this...ok! We all brag about something that we're proud of right? I brag on Beyoncè because I am proud of the woman she is. I may not know her personally, but I seen her prove herself year after year from her first hit No, No, NO to her smashing new album "I am...Sasha Fierce"! Beyoncè may be a figure to some people, but to me, she is a gift of talent, beauty, and inspiration. Nothing can heal the soul better than amazing music, so thank you Beyoncè for keeping my soul healthy...LOL!!!
