Angry Bear | MEMORY FROM 1977

Last Time

LOCATION: car , Miami

YEAR: 1977

TAGS: parents, bittersweet, childhood, divorce

PUBLISHED: April 6, 2008

I was eight years old, dressed all in white, sitting in the backseat of my dad's car with my parents in the front seats.  We were returning from my elementary school's Christmas Spectacular where my third grade class was dressed as angels while other third graders were dressed as stars, lambs, reindeer, etc.  My mom had moved out of the house that October and I was thrilled that I had my parents together again, convinced that this song was a good sign that life would finally return to normal and happiness would be restored.  My parents' divorce was final the next year in April.
