Talking to Nature

I love Disney, especially the animated films.  Somewhere in each is a scene or song or message that speaks to me.  When Pocahontas came out I brought it home and watched it several times just so I could hear this song again and again.  It says everything I have felt and believed nearly all my life.
 Growing up on the farm I talked to the animals, of course, but I also talked to the trees, flowers, rocks, and so on.  I know in some circles that would make me a nut case, but I believed then and still do that all of creation is one.  The wind is a messenger that paints the truth throughout the land.  
 Whenever I hear or play this song, I feel that at least one other individual understands and believes as I do.  Somehow there is a comfort in that, though even if no one else believed I still would.  When we learn to respect that oneness we are better guardians of our world.
