t began with my best friend roping me into helping her with a Health Fair at our mobile home park.  Along with the traditional types of booths (blood pressure checks, children’s IDs, and such) she had brought in two or three non-traditionalists, (herbalist, aromatherapy, and Linda).  From the moment I met Linda I knew she was special and that dynasty had deemed our paths would cross at this moment in time.  After talking with her for a short time, I was certain that our lives would travel the same road for a time at least and they did.
One of the talents that Linda possessed was the natural ability for an Oriental form of treatment called Reikki.  It is difficult to explain in a few words, but is much like massage therapy without the actual touching.  After attending a couple of workshops Linda put on for women only, I became more and more intrigued by her spirit and her spiritual gifts.  At the time my late husband was fighting a lot of health issues and traditional medicine didn’t seem to have the answers to cure him or even help him manage his pain so after much discussion, I made him an appointment with Linda for a Reikki session.  We arrived at her home and talked for a bit about what she was going to do and what our responsibilities in the session were.  It wasn’t until after the actual session that she told us that normally she didn’t allow a third person in the room during the actual ritual, but had made the exception for me, because she had felt the strength of my spirit and knew I would be an asset to the session.
During the session all was quiet except for this wonderful music playing.  I was enthralled with it beauty and the serenity it imparted to me.  I asked her what it was and she said it was Music to Disappear In by Raphael.  Perfect, I told her, that’s exactly what I need.  Within two weeks she sent me copies of both albums.
Now whenever I need to find the serenity I experienced that evening, I disappear into the music until I am calm, rested, relaxed, and ready to face the world again
