No one puts this song across like Trace Adkins, but we have a friend that comes close.  He does it a lot on Karaoke Nights at various venues around town and always gets rave reviews.  It’s a fun song with great music that makes you want to dance—at least that’s my opinion.  It’s a slightly suggestive and sexy song as well, which makes liking it almost a guilty pleasure.  Several years ago Travis Tritt did a song called T-R-O-U-B-L-E that invokes the same kind of response for me.
Other friends of ours run the karaoke at James’ Place several nights a week and had asked us to stop by sometime.  It was a Friday night and we were out so we did.  I was surprised when our friend started singing this song that none of the pretty, young girls danced and I asked him about it.  I was surprised to learn that they seldom danced to the song, but he suggested next time out I get them on the floor by doing so myself.
It was probably a month later before we went back to James’.  No sooner had we arrived than our friend began Honky Tonk Badonkadonk and motioned to me.  My husband said “go” and I did.  It was great fun and by the time the song ended I was joined by a half dozen or so of the young girls, laughing and singing along as we danced.
