SF MuniLOCATION: N Judah , San Francisco, CAYEAR: 1992TAGS: nirvana, sf, muniPUBLISHED: April 10, 2008I remember my friend Neil giving me this album on a cassette and playing it through my Sony Walkman (yellow waterproof version) with headphones that didn't trap the music. I was standing in the aisle and I just remember it playing so loud that I was getting stares. The sound was so awesome and raw that I wanted everyone on the train to hear it..I wanted to be able to blast it through the train PA and tell everyone..listen to this it is fucking awesome!!

I had one of those waterproof versions. Found out they are not waterproof...
It was "cutting edge" at the time I think. I thought I was pretty cool with that thing. (4/10/2008)

weird that it's been 15 years since that album came out..almost enough for classic rock station. As much as I loved that album then I mostly turn it off the radio (except for a few of the deeper tracks) when I hear it...unless it is played really loud then it is very enjoyable. (4/10/2008)

I remember I didn't know who Nirvana was until I saw Weird Al's spoof on smells like teen spirit. At the time I had never heard the song before and I thought the spoofed song was awesome. Then I heard the real song and that was crazy awesome! (4/12/2008)

grunge was and is a great period/style of music. I also love the 90's music, I have a feeling when music historians look back 20 years from now they will appreciate it more. It was heavy, heavy, stuff with a punk feel. (4/14/2008)
