I'd left my ex-boyfriend's house to visit my old roomate and my best friend. At my best friend's house, I'd been talking to my ex-boyfriend, and this song that I'd heard before reminded him of me. Later, he went on to sing this song, and instead of 'Delilah', he said 'Gilly'. This was one of the only times he'd used my nickname, which still bothers me today that he doesn't.
