This seems such an unlikely song to attribute to this sort of title, correct?  I thought so too.  Until I had my first experience with a little something I like to call the XBox360.

See, there's a certain title on this certain system that basically involves you trapped in a shopping mall.  With a bunch of zombies.  And the entire time, in the background, on the mall's PA system, elevator music is playing.

Which makes me laugh because, in the game designer's mind, apparently the ideas of "a place to have a rip-roaring good time" and "impenetrable stronghold" are simultaneous.

It got me thinking, however, just how much we don't appreciate these guys.  I mean, they aren't good.  The songs aren't good.  I would never listen to them on a daily basis.  Or at all, really, if it weren't for shopping malls.  But still, they add a little soundtrack to our shopping lives.

And isn't that the greatest pleasure of all?
