Not That NecessaryLOCATION: well.... , Atlantic BeachYEAR: 2007TAGS: girlfriend, backseat, car, sneaking outPUBLISHED: April 2, 2008Now, I don't drive, so I can't relate to this song completely. But I am a teenage boy filled with unstable hormones. And as such, I have come dangerously close to basically reliving this song. What I find ironic is that whenever myself and my girlfriend (who I am no longer with) would sneak out of each other's respective houses to meet each other, it certainly wasn't for any well-mannered frivolity as one would wish. It was basically hard-core making out in the backseat of her car (because she could drive). And while the ending of this song wasn't exactly a very happy one, this was quite possibly our favorite song to, as the song goes, become animals to. It was fast-paced, hard-rocking, and.... well, to put it bluntly, got you in the mood. I'm sorry if that grosses anyone out, but hey, "we're just a couple animals." At any rate, the point is that I now hate my ex-girlfriend, and while I still love this song, I can't possibly ever try and make out to it again. Which really puts a thorn in my side. Like, a five-foot-long thorn.
