It Wasn't? Seriously?LOCATION: Fletcher High School , Atlantic BeachYEAR: 2006TAGS: cheatingPUBLISHED: March 17, 2008I realize this song has the guy in the guilty chair, but for me, the situation was quite reversed. See, I was sixteen and loving life. I had a great girlfriend, and thought everything was going right for me. Nothing could possibly go wrong, I thought. I now realize that everytime someone says or thinks that, everything goes wrong. One completely random day, during a completely random time, during chorus, I had to go to the bathroom. Here's how the routine should go: Take the pass. Go to the bathroom. Go back. So I took the pass. I went to the first bathroom I ran into, which is the one behind the auditorium directly next to the chorus room. It was locked. The very next bathroom I walked by was the gym locker room, but I couldn't use this due to the fact that the locker room is locked during gym class to ensure nobody tries to dress back in early to ditch class. So, finally, I'm kinda ticked. So I walked to the cafeteria. I walked in on two people having sex on the floor. At first it was awkward for me. They hadn't seen me yet, but it was the first time I had seen a naked girl. Or guy, for that matter. So I started to back out until I caught the girl's reflection in the mirror; the image of my girlfriend shone tauntingly at me, teasing me with its outright defiance against our relationship. I was so shocked that I didn't even bother saying anything, just walked out the door. The next day, I broke up with her. Didn't even give her a reason, just said we had to go our separate ways. She cried and asked me why I was doing this. I never gave her a reason. It was a nice act, crying like that. Well, guess what, I can act too, so here's acting like I never cared about our relationship. To this day, she still doesn't know. And I doubt she'll ever realize that it was she who broke my heart that day, not I who broke hers.
