The Wind Cries Mary is Jimi at his purest. Pure in the sense that it is the definition of Hendrix style but also the clean sound of the guitar makes it easier to translate the feeling of the songbut also the musical direction of the song, theoretically speaking. It proves the level of skill and genius Hendrix had on the guitar. (Not that it could be questioned.)
