DJWestie said: 13 posts so far and the #5 song only has three votes. This is a testement to the amazing depth of The Cure's Catalogue and how they have affected multiple generations in their 30+ year career. My first CD was The Cure's Head On The Door. It was 1986 and it came in the long box which I split and thumbtacked to my bedroom wall. They continue to amaze... (11/5/2008)

YuLun said: Agreed. They're an incredibly innovative band. First I heard was the Charlotte Sometimes single. I was hooked from there. (11/6/2008)

Throwurfoot said: I became addicted to The Cure after listening to Show. I was blown away by the power of Smith's voice and the overall composition of the songs. Wish people would dig a little into their catalogue instead of listening to just the hits. (11/8/2008)

Also, nice to see people using cuts from "The Top" on here, as well as "Concert", "Join The Dots". Some true fans around these parts! :) You are all my friends. (11/9/2008)

lilisakurita said: I belive this is the best Band ever!! at least in my personal opinion the cure is the best of all! Robert Smiht is the best singer I have ever seen. I love the cure. It would be such a lovely gift to receive an autograph poster by him. I made a big huge banner for them and I got to show it on a cure concert in Los Angeles May 31st 2008. But i didn't got to meet Robert ahhh! :( http://i479.photobucket.com/al... (11/10/2008)

It's really nice finally seeing people that truly love them this much. You guys are great. The Cure: astoundingly amazing. They've impacted my life for ever. 5choices far too difficult to narrow it down to that little for such a talented band. I hope they never ever go away. They are the 'only one's'! (11/10/2008)

maximopi said: I think it's amazing the way each album sounds different and has its own spirit and yet how recognizable the band is... In most cases just hearing the first notes of one of their songs is enough to know this is the band you're listening to, and that's due to its amazing talent for creating unique moods god i love them, 4:13 dream rocks, can't stop listening to Sirensong (11/10/2008)

nice said: Disintegration (from Entreat) Just Like Heaven Boys Don't Cry (partly because my two-year old son punches the air when I put it on - solidarity reg) Plainsong (opened the first gig I saw and when they open with it you know it's going to be good - plus it opens the best album in the world ever) Faith (live version on Charlotte Sometimes) A Forest (live version on Hanging Garden) Yes there's a pattern but as a live band they're just something else. At Hyde Park in 02 they played the opening tracks to about 15 albums. Nuts. Met them once in 1996 when the plans for Trilogy consisted of the entire back catalogue one night at a time. I think a good compromise was found. Experiencing people discover the genius of Disintegation is one of the most rewarding pleasures there is. That and seeing the gig time tick over 3 hours at the RAH two years ago after a cracking set (12/6/2008)

VanianLve89 said: disappointed that the top songs are "pop songs" and not LYRICALLY BRILLIANT songs when there are just TOO MANY to choose from in that category! I mean, come on, it is ROBERT SMITH we're talking about people ... a poet, a writer, a musical genius ... a GOD!! It took me FOREVER to pick my top 5 and I can't say with ANY CERTAINTY WHATSOEVER that they ARE STILL my top 5 right now or in 5 minutes from now, or in another playlist jump from now ... I see there are people here that would totally agree with me; and for that, I am BLISSFUL! (12/16/2008)

DDD said: I cant believe this list, seems there is some serious omissions but I guess it's the taste of the people on here. I just had to join up so I could voice my humble opinion. I. Primary (the first cure song I heard and still my fav) 2. A Forest (esp the unplugged version) 3. Love Song (this is poppy but brilliant) 4. Never Enough (just full of energy) 5. Pictures Of You (hauntingly beautiful) (12/27/2008)
