Yaz

Formed by ex-Depeche Mode leader/synth wizard Vince Clarke and London soul/blues vocalist Allison Moyet, Yaz (originally known as Yazoo), at first seemed like an unlikely duo, but their electro-soul sound managed to chart repeatedly in the UK Top 10. Although highly influential, the group was short lived and is remembered primarily as a springboard for Moyet's solo career.
