About this Artist

The String Cheese Incident

At the front of the jam-band pack in terms of popularity, the String Cheese Incident are notable for their combination of bluegrass, rock, jazz, and R&B influences. The Colorado-based band developed a huge grass-roots following with their blend of improvisational skills and compositional abilities. In 2002, the group took a page from Pearl Jam's beat-the-bootleggers technique of releasing scads of live albums from their tours, thus keeping their considerable fanbase fully satisfied.
