About this Artist
The StranglersThough they're frequently lumped in with the U.K. punk movement of the 1970s, the Stranglers owed more of a debt to '60s garage rock and '70s biker bands. They were older than many of the punks on the scene and possessed an instrumental prowess that they weren't afraid to demonstrate. The pronounced keyboards in the Stranglers' songs positioned them as something of a Doors for the summer of hate. Definitive Albums
