The Hellacopters

To some, Swedish music is defined by ABBA and other perfectly glossy pop music confections; to others, it's defined by the Hellacopters. Veterans of a slew of Swedish punk and metal bands, the Hellacopters formed in the mid 1990s and have been churning out textbook high-octane rock ever since. Combining the best of Detroit proto-punk, a la the Stooges and the MC5, with the scorching shriek of AC/DC and Van Halen, the Hellacopters have no intentions of reinventing the wheel; rather, their simple goal is to keep it rolling on, rolling strong.
