About this Artist
The DonnasHow can you not love a quartet of hard-rocking teenage girls who all go by the same first name? Despite the Josie & the Pussycats-on-speed image conjured by this, the Donnas turned out to be one of hard rock's brightest hopes right before the Strokes came on the scene. Emerging in the late '90s, they combined a Ramones/Runaways '70s punk sensibility with a bit of pop metal a la Kiss or Motley Crue, and eventually made the leap to the majors that separates rock stars from cult items.
