The Beta Band

Hailing from Scotland, the Beta Band appeared in the late 1990s with an eclectic sound mixing modern rock, electronics, and a pronounced '60s/psychedelia influence. Their early EPs created quite a buzz, and were eventually compiled on one disc in '98, preceding the '99 release of the band's first full-length album, which brough them even greater acclaim. Though they seemed to falter with the release of follow-up album HOT SHOTS II, they returned to form in 2004 with the consistently strong HEROES TO ZEROES, confirming their status as one of the preeminent UK bands of their era.
