About this Artist
NicoBoth as part of the Velvet Underground and as a solo act, Teutonic chanteuse Nico was known for her deep, sultry voice and ice-goddess presence. After a solo debut of folk-rock tunes by the likes of Tim Hardin and Jackson Browne, Nico leaped into the realm of art-song, releasing several innovative albums, some produced by former Velvets cohort John Cale. A heroin addict for much of her career, her sporadic comeback attempts ended with her tragic death of a brain hemorrhage in 1988. Definitive Albums
