Liars

Once the poster boys of the early-2000s dance punk movement, Liars reemerged as an uncompromising, visionary art/noise ensemble following a substantial line-up change and a move from Brooklyn to Berlin. Over the course of a mere three albums, Liars managed to amass a considerable underground following, alienate that following, and then convene an entirely new set of fans. Whichever side of the proverbial fence one chooses to sit on vis-a-vis the band's music, there's no denying Liars' volatile creativity.
