About this Artist
Jackie WilsonJackie Wilson was a key figure in American pop and R&B, and an important influence on everything from soul to reggae. They called him Mr. Excitement, and with good reason; Wilson's coiled-spring intensity and unique high tenor vocals combined to make him one of the great showmen of 1950s and '60s R&B. Sadly, a 1975 accident left the singer comatose until his death in 1984, robbing the world of a unique voice. Definitive Albums
