About this Artist

Andrew Lloyd Webber

British composer Andrew Lloyd Webber was the absolute last word in musical theater on both sides of the Atlantic from the 1960s on. His shows, beginning with the groundbreaking rock musical JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and moving on through such blockbusters as CATS, EVITA, and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, were the standard by which all other musicals were judged in the latter part of the 20th century.
